Referencing with Zotero - New guide

Zotero Styles

Make sure you're using the best, most recent, referencing style for your school at MIT.

Download your style from the Zotero Style Repository:

Remember, these styles are only mostly correct. Their outputs in your word processor will need to be reviewed. You are ultimately responsible for your work - you cannot blame Zotero if your references are incorrect.

The two styles used at MIT are APA and IEEE. However, these are just two styles, out of many commonly used styles. If submitting work to be published, that publication may have its own style it requires submission in.

Zotero supports thousands of different styles. You can search for a particular styles on their style repository, which has all the style files and information about that particular style. YOu can also edit a style file if you want small changes, or you can create entire style files from scratch. IN the Zotero style repository, you can also browse the files by field of study, or format.
