Referencing for Telecommunications Engineering

Information for how to reference sources using IEEE Style in business and technical writing.

Here are the basic formats for referencing articles. The grey boxes highlight the information that needs to change in each reference. You do not include them in your own work.

Pay close attention to the punctuation and capitalisation in each of the formats and the examples below.

With a DOI (digital object identifier)

J. K. Author, “Name of paper,” Abbrev. Title of Journal, vol. x, no. x, pp. xxx-xxx, Abbrev. Month, year, doi: xxx.

WIthout a DOI
