1) Steps for setting up an ORCID ID researcher author profile
2) Go to Orcid.org
3) Select the Orcid for researchers
4) Register - ORCID - Then select register for an ORCID ID
5) Then fill out the form with your name, current organisation, department, email etc. You will need to choose a password.
6) Select your email frequency
7) You will then get to the final screen
8) confirm you are not a robot/then click the consent button.
Then click register - you will receive an email to verify your new account.
9) You will then have a shiny new ORCID profile -this will give you an ORCID ID
10) The new profile will be formed, but you need to add in your details -
11) Add in the institutions you are working at, your education, professional activities and Funding
12) You can then add your published articles
13) Your articles can then be added into your published research - you can identify and add your published works with various options, including searching, manually typing, via DOI, pubmed ID and BibTex
